January Construction Updates

Though we are in the midst of another midwest winter, construction crews are as hard-working as ever!

On the South Campus, the primary pre-engineered steel erection and roofing has been completed. Sheeting walls and enclosing the building is now the primary focus. This will continue for a few more weeks, and then insulation of the walls will begin. Heat will be turned on in late February to thaw for underground mechanical and electrical work.

Primary structural steel erection has wrapped up, and decking and sheeting the walls is underway. Stephenson Drywall continues with wall framing, while Olaf Anderson installs the wall panels behind them. Later this month, construction will bring ground thawers into the building to start thawing for the deep plumbing lines. Exterior masonry work is expected to begin in early February.

It is amazing to watch the construction come closer to the renderings of the final project each day. Thank you to our partners, including Zerr Berg and Olaf Anderson, for their diligent work.  We can’t wait for the day we’re in these new spaces!
